Don't know what to write. Not in a good mood. Adiv is sick with viral fever since 26th. Occasional high fever, he pukes everything. Yesterday I worked from home. We took him to the doctor Pradeep at MSR and he diagnosed viral infection.asked us to continue with the ibugesic and relent syrup. Give him sponge bath every time fever shoots up. With summer getting bad day by day, it's really a pain to have a fever. He told us if the situation does not improves then we have to revisit again by tomorrow. I think I will take home. Have a worst feeling that unless antibiotics are prescribed things will not improve. It's a repeat after 6 months. What happened is Etu missed his school today. Adi got up at 4am and was running very high temperature, we gave him the medicine and and it took almost 2 hrs for him to sleep peacefully. I took him to my bed and we talked a lot, I was telling him some story and he asked me to include some familiar faces like Etu, mummy, kaku, Kush etc. kids ar...

Yesterday was my and Ritesh birthday. A blast and when we both took off from work it got to be special. First half got spoilt by a call from office. They don't stop pestering even when you are on leave. The nas presentation was to be discussed for mr juneja. I have briefed everything on last Friday but still no body want to take it forward. Still I managed to shrug it off.  Later a good message came to carry on from office. That's it. We had a cake cutting on Sunday night, as usual Etu and Adi wanted to get there hands dirty as soon it was placed. I managed to hold them for some time. Finished the night with a peg of Jameson. It was a day to celebrate, we had to decide between Saadi ke side effects or queen. Mili was for queen as she didn't wanted to get into any arguments after close to 8 yrs into marriage. Etu didn't go to school today. Mili was too tired to get up and Adi was making it horrible. I think he is not eating properly at night and so wakes up every now and then. He gets his portion at dinner time with me but how to estimate when he is done is tough. I think he needs a glass of milk 30 mnts after dinner so he is actually full before sleeping.  I will take mili to doctor tomorrow at MS, she is constantly complaining of pain in her sole. Better not to ignore. I showed some of the flipboard pictures of exotic hotels to Etu, he was excited. I think in this way I will be able to realize the true potential of iPad as a means of communication. Also I have to keep tab on the irctc date for onward reservation. I will setup a reminder. The nas monitoring discussion is happening today. I managed to churn up some numbers for our nas storage. I don't want to think about the office stuff right now. Weird problem, the office mailbox is full and I have to send out an important communication. Was trying different options in nitro desk but was not going through. Why people send out a big email without compressing it? Also I need to tweak my reale script to send out the compressed log file only not the blank text. Feeling a bit down today, it's started getting hot suddenly and the perennial problem of sore throat and stufy nose. Didn't had a good sleep last night. I have fixed alarm for 23:15 as dinner and 23:45 as bed time. But I myself is a bit hesitant in doing this, after a day long work it's difficult to switch off and go to bed without having a talk with Etu and Adi. But in the morning at 7:15, and when I have to wake Etu up for school it becomes a matter of desperation why he didn't slept on time yesterday etc. so it's become a cycle now. Pretty bad last night, the lingering problem with un organised support function creates a hell lot of chaos. The last minute request and the urgency to complete it as soon as possible makes every plan  go squandering. In a corporate culture there are certain decisions at the interest of a bigger audience cannot be avoided when the stake is huge, but it could be planned. The stageV migration to exa, the oracle team needed 7.5 tb on priority. The number is not less that can be done on the fly especially when there is a storage crunch I pushed back saying it can only be done next day. Lot to write. We celebrated holi with lot of colors and good glass of bhang. Of course bhang was for me alone. The whole day I was on a different world, I ate a lot don't know what but it appeared very tasty everytime. Kids also had a good time. Monday morning hangover was pathetic. The whole head was spinning like a wheel. Saturday was santosh birthday so our dinner was already arranged. Monday evening we went to Orion mall with the new hair cut of Adiv. He was looking totally different. The innocence has improved many fold. He was having a very tough time with his hair. The curly portion at the end made it difficult to comb. Mili as usual posted some nice pics on her Facebook's account. She is enjoying a lot with FB, its like a friend to her. Ritesh had a bash with sippy yesterday. They enjoyed a good time. Quite happy today got full ICP. Thanks to Mathai. Really delighted to get returns on the hard work throughout 2013. Very very happy. Mili is much more than me. Its already planned. We will get it fixed for kids. They will need it in future. Mathai was planning to move abroad either to Canada or Australia. He gave me a few references. I have to get the voter list fixed tomorrow. Rites send few pics of his engagement. He was looking very good. I have seen him grow as a baby and now he his starting a new chapter. Time moves fast. Got shawarma for Mili and Etu.

Getting anxious for the bonus. Scheduled for 14th. Lets see how much it comes. Ritesh left for his engagement by morning flight. The cabin baggage was too heavy so it went to checked. He kept the jewellery in the bag itself. Should have kept with himself. But nevertheless he got it safe. Nupur got engaged yesterday. She is a sweet girl. Nothing exciting today except tons of work which I cannot avoid.

Tiring day lays ahead. Last night Etu was very adamant for a bed time story. I dont know why but sometime just accept it. I told him below. Senthil is on leave post RP changes last evening. I feel its not correct, since the change could create problem the next day. The person who is doing the change should be available. People have not yet stood up to take ownership of the change. Talked to Sunil last evening. He is settled in Muscat now. The environment is small but he went there for a purpose. We went to Reliance fresh last night at 8 pm. Quite late but till 8 i was on RP change. It was fun at Royalmart, Etu and Adiv enjoyed on the foot steps. It was almost 2am when i slept off. Etu also went quite late around 12:30. But the boy got up for school. He is a fighter and my pride. I was looking on internet for the difficulties in bringing up 1 vs 2 child. Not quite advantage and disadvantage but the challenges. Adu has started picking up small words and it melts my heart when he tells "juice chahiye" or "sunder babu" "bhaiya good". The week finished good. The amount of work doesnt leaves enough room to think anything else. Creating reports, setup monitoring, weekend changes, followup etc. With Sunil out, Joga doubtfull, Abhishek on leave, Senthil still learning tough days are ahead. And i have to work quickly to get things in order. Saurabh is doing a wonderful job. The pressing problem is management throwing balls among each other. Dont know whats happenning. Pissed off, hey not really. I love my job. Nothings pending on me. So, i am happy. Going back and i am pleased. Few books i will get it downloaded during weekends. One for capacity planning and other for problem solving. Certain things cannot be articulated. Etu will definetly tell me about his nursery trip. Lets see how the weekend RPA change goes in. One thing is sure i need to brushup my symcli skills.

Adiv bday was a blast. He enjoyed completely with Etu and Kush. It was a small party with Santosh family and us. We let loose them to do whatever they feel. They jumped shouted and played for almost 3 hrs. We got a talking tom toy for Adu and at night he told me to sing a song as Tom was sleeping. He wrapped him up bedsheet so that tom doesnt catches cold. It was awesome. We had fish at dinner which Ritu and Mili prepared. It was tasty. Santosh and myself talked over hosting services vs cloud. He had some idea. I was on PTO yesterday. It has been too many in recent past and i hate it. It affects your work especially when lots of moving parts are there. Morning there was an escalation regarding nextgen. The stress test environment was not sized up properly. It was on vnx but should have been on vmax. At least we know the problem. Its going to be a bad day. Its high time we should zero in on the process that should be done first thing in the morning.

Last night was a bit hectic. Got the ticket booked for Mili's mom and dad. They are coming here on 6th apr for Etu birthday. Morning turned out to be late. First time, alarm didnt wake me up. Etu got up after a bit pampering but the kid is really very cooperative. Just get his mood boosted up and i promised him shawarma today. Yesterday got heads up from Devesh regarding US travel for 2 weeks. Most probably it will be penysylvania the rescap office. My head was busy doing the travel plans while i was in office as well. The hotel should be close to office and indian store should be nearby. I just cant live on the restaurant food. Drives me crazy. Few days like 2 or 3 is ok but not everyday. How many cloths etc and so many things. Had a busy day with escalations and office politics. It gets boring when only one way communication happens and people are desperate to go out of the meeting room. Well a lot of process and other crap were discussed. Weekend was a breeze like others. We went to Mantri for shopping, Ritesh had to get shirt and trouser for his engagement. We headed to Shoppers Stop and he tried different options and finally settled for a light green shirt and dark grey trouser. I also got a few underwear for Etu. Next to Auchan for Adi dress for his B'day. Collection was not impressive at Max so shopped for few grocery items and returned. It was raining while we reached back. We already had snacks from KFC so were full. This was on Saturday. Last evening we went to get Adiv dress. Choose a yellow tee and ordered his cake at Just Bake, my favourite Irish Coffee. Normally i dont eat any cake or pasteries but sometimes i let go my inhibition. Etu asked for a story and without that he will not sleep.
